Welcome to the virtual reality -partially tour- of the Path of Pearl in Kingdom of Bahrain. The unique story of pearling in kingdom of Bahrain and its physical testimony in Muharraq city, which is listed now by UNESCO as World Heritage site in 2012. The Bahrain pearling trail is a 3.5 km trail located in the island of Muharraq city, in Bahrain, that was used by pearl divers during much of Bahrain's history until the early 1930s, when the pearl market in Bahrain crashed as a result of the introduction of Cultured pearls. Pearling in Bahrain has occurred since 2000 BC. The pathway consists of 17 buildings in Murharraq city, this VR tour takes you in three amazing POI: 1 - Bait AlNukhidha - House of the pearling ship's captain, This Majlis has been renovated as a testimony to the profession of the Nukhidha (the captain of the ship) which reached its pinnacle in the pearling era. Within the chain of the pearling trade, the Nukhidha held various responsibilities such as selecting the ship's crew, controlling operations on board and facilitating financial matters for the crew. The Nukhidha's Majlis included a few guest accommodation rooms for divers, and was the key location for the Nukhidha's business. 2 - Bait Al Ghous: The house allows an insight into the life of a diver, the first person to make contact with the pearl, which stimulated the far-reaching pearling economy. 3 - Siyadi Mosque: It is part of a larger complex of buildings constructed for the pearl merchant Abdullah bin Isa Siyadi. The oldest part of the complex is Siyadi Mosque, which Isa and Jassim bin Yousif Siyadi donated to the Muharraq community in 1865. 4 - Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa House: The House of Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa was his residence and the seat of his government. This beautiful house offers insight into the royal life in the 19th century. It consists of several rooms arranged around four courtyards and characterized by its wind towers. It is considered one of the most impressive example of Gulf Islamic architecture on the island.
